Project Overview
This project is a result of me fooling around with my previous exercise! I find field line to be so beautiful and is fun to work with. I am happy that I can ‘teach’ a machine to make something that looks so organic.
Process
I merged Point Charge and Spin Force together to interfere with Field Line. By randomly choosing the points, it gives me many different iterations.
I’m lucky that all my drawings went well. Maybe it’s because I was one of the first few people to paint, so the machine is still in a good condition.
Challenges
- The pen didn’t lift up after the last command so there was an unexpected line made. By giving it a M400 command, it pause and wait in a loop until all moves in the planner are completed.
Discoveries
- The sound while the machine draws is so interesting! It does make me feel that the machine is alive.
- Machines are so smart and dumb at the same time. They make complex things that we as human cannot make, but they also go crazy or shut down only because one typo in the code.
