Project I: Vain

This piece was meant to represent myself while also being a prototype for branding ideas, I was drawn to the pyramid because I enjoy the triangle shape due to me being a fire sign in astrology. The word vain contains the last four letters of my name with the letters “I” and “A” in opposite places, my initial plan was to create the pyramid with acrylic mirror representing the idea of conceitedness. the stars In the pyramid represented polish/glam while reminding me of the deck of cards which drew me to adding the circles, the two add on’s gave me a feel of the joker card which then reminded me of my favorite evil villains The Joker, Chucky, Tiffany, and Harley Quinn who I feel like have a feel of beauty and playfulness to them hiding the strengths they have behind which I is how feel I was looked at as a kid in the black culture and not liking to be or looking as rough as the alpha men and not as strong looking in my facial features and with me also always having a soft/smooth voice. the characters that I spoke of would play a part in the color choices for the pyramid based on what the wear such as lime green, purple, pink, red, black, and blue .
