Project I: 3D-2D-3D
Medium: Acrylic, organza, nail polish
Combining rigid and soft material. This is my first time modeling and think in ‘Rhino way’. It is more of an experiment with materials. I struggled a lot when assembling pieces together since my model were not accurately designed. But I am still satisfied with the result as it is my first try.

Project II: Flower Skeleton
Medium: 3D printed object, zip ties
My intention is to make a flower in the most inorganic and artificial form that it almost loose its structure but still being able to be recognized as a flower. I had a really tough time modeling and printing the ‘flower’ part. The neon-colored zip ties further unfamiliarize its structure. I am happy to see shadows created when it is placed under different light sources, soooo beautiful đŸ™‚

Project III: Body Bench
Medium: Wood, paints
As a group, we started with narrowing down our ideas of the kind of furniture we were interested in to make and the way to assemble. Then, each of us designed a pattern for the bench and integrated them together to form progressive pieces that connect one design to another so that the surface of the bench is still able to be smoothly structured with so many different patterns. Nadia, Liam, Sean were mainly in charge of the modeling, while Solo, Alex and I were mainly in charge of CNC routing. Big thanks to Sterlin (sorry if i spelled his name wrong)as he helped us a lot figuring out the CNC profiling. We didn’t expect the final product to be at this height though. But i am still so proud of our team!
