As a graphic design student, Leyi has been experimenting with the use of color in her work, and she has a great interest in 3D and wants to explore more areas. This class opened up a whole new perception for her, and she will try more possibilities through this class.
Skill Building

Project I: Urban Light
In this project, I used a combination of hard materials and soft materials. I was inspired by my previous classes on fiber and architecture, where I tried to assemble hard structures by weaving them together and adding soft and bright colors to accent them.I tried to use projection to make this work different, in its shadow, the whole structure will be more like an architectural model.
Project II
The white part is 3d printed and later painted with acrylic. The previous spray bottle was deformed, and many small holes were added on the outside so that these piper cleaners could pass through. In this project, we can see the shadow of previous works, whether it is the choice of color or the transformation of the structural weaving technique to piper cleaners.
