Project I: Stary Lamp

This piece was made to create mood lighting for inside a space. The design uses slotting joinery and no glue so that the pieces may be easily taken apart and made flat for transport. The starry design with a stitching pattern around the edges was chosen to help create a simple childlike design that would fit nicely into any space.

Project II: Sewing Tray

This piece was made because I recently started sewing and I often am moving around or sitting in bed when doing so. A problem I’ve come across quite often is that I lose my supplies, especially my needles. This tray was created to help keep my sewing supplies in a safe and organized place. The tray has a large cup for pens, scissors, and other supplies while also having a small cup where pins can be placed and 9 rods that threads can be placed on. The tray also has an edge to avoid things falling off.

Project III: Jellyfish Dreams

My part of this piece was done based on my recent fixation on sea life. I referenced photos I took of jellyfish at the aquarium to make the cutout design and I used a circle design at the top and bottom to mimic bubbles in the water.
