Week 12 Response

In think the shift from a disciplinary society to a society of control, individuals are no longer influenced through physical confinement. They now have the freedom to roam about, because power has found a way to exercise its Influence without the presence of the body. The modes of influence now happens internally, through social expectations and norms, allowing the individual to be free within certain confines. For example, the government is able to keep track of its citizens through information input into access of digital technology. These things are found everywhere from the public space to the private space,  ranging from surveillance devices to personal electronics.
